From Fabric A, cut one 6" strip
Sub-cut into one 6" square
Sub-cut into six 2 1/2" squares
From Fabric B, cut one 2 1/2" strip
Sub-cut into two 2 1/2" squares
From Fabric C, cut into one 6" strip
Sub-cut into one 6" square
Sub-cut into twenty 2 1/2" squares
Place the 6" fabric A and fabric C square, on top of each other RST. Draw an "X" from corner to corner, and stitch a 1/4" from the line, on both sides
Cut block in half vertically and horizontally, for a total of four squares. I forgot to take pictures of this step, But I do have a video tutorial of this here. Basically you can make 8 HST's at once! When finished, square up to 2 1/2" if necessary.
Row 1: Fabric A square, Fabric C square, HST , HST, Fabric C, Fabric A
Row 2: 6 Fabric C squares
Row 3: HST, Fabric C, Fabric B, Fabric A, Fabric C, HST
Row 4: HST, Fabric C, Fabric A, Fabric B, Fabric C, HST
Row 5: Repeat row 2
Row 6: Repeat row 1
Sew rows together in the order that they were pieced to complete Mystery Block 1.
